JAMES PERSE
James Perse, born in Los Angeles in 1972, grew up immersed in fashion at his father's boutique, Maxfield, which was pivotal in shaping the city’s fashion scene. His journey into fashion began with a quest for the perfect baseball cap, leading him to create a line that gained traction among filmmakers and musicians. In 1994, he launched a t-shirt line, followed by women’s and men’s collections that emphasize high-quality basics and casual elegance. Influenced by minimalist architecture and the essence of west-coast living, James Perse embodies a design philosophy that blends sophistication with comfort, highlighted by the opening of his first retail store in 2003 and the launch of an online shop in 2007.
